Aesthetic plastic surgery, or cosmetic surgery, has become widely accepted. In Germany, for example, a 2010 survey* showed that on average every sixth person is ready to change their body contour surgically.

The main focus of aesthetic plastic surgery is on the female breast, either its augmentation or reconstruction. In a woman’s life, the shape, size and health of her breast are an important issue.
